2010 FIFA WORLD CUP COMPETITION

"I will try and explain the rules as best I can, they are very simple although they may not seem it at first glance."

To enter you need to predict the results of the 48 group matches.

You are awarded 3 points for predicting the correct result i.e. Home win, Away win or Draw.
For the purposes of this competition the first country in any fixture is regarded as the HOME team.
You are also awarded 1 point for predicting the correct number of goals scored by a team in any match.
If you predict the exact score for a match you get a bonus point.

The winner is the person with most number of points after all the group matches listed are complete.
In the event of one or more persons getting the same number of points then the person
who predicted most accurately the total number of goals scored in this phase of the competition will be the winner.

This competition is for the 48 group matches only.
All entries / predictions must be entered digitally and submitted by Monday 7th June using this

Entry Form

In case you are unsure of the scoring here are a couple of examples:

Example 1:
You predict the score of a match as 1-1

If the result is 2-0 (no points)
If the result is 2-1 (1 point for getting the away teams score correct)
If the result is 1-2 (1 point for getting the home teams score correct)
If the result is 3-3 ( 3 points for getting the result correct, being a draw)
If the result is 1-1 (you get 6 points)
3 for the correct result, 1 for each team scoring the correct number of goals and a bonus 1 for getting it all right.

Example 2:
You predict the score of a match as 3-1
If the result is 4-1 (4 points, 3 for the result (home win) and one for the correct number of goals by the away team)
