100 Club
Congratulations to Liz Lord who won the December 100 Club draw. Because the Christmas party was cancelled the bonus draw has been held over and will be carried out at the reorganised party.

Informal Social Nite – Friday 7th Januaryr
Meet at the Punch House, in Ware and start planning your 2011 calendar. Everyone is invited - it's a great way to meet people (but be warned you may not recognise them with their clothes on!). Just drop in if you feel like it from 7pm onwards.

Quiz Night - Friday 21st January 2011
Back by popular demand - Jen Blyth will be hosting another mind boggling quiz night. Ticket £10 per person (includes a ploughmans supper) Tables of 6-8. Either enter of whole team or join a table and make up a team. Friends, family and hangers-on welcome. Tickets go on sale immediately after Christmas so start planning your team.

“Not the Christmas Party” - Saturday 12th February, Wodson Park
Don't bin your Christmas party tickets; they are valid for our reorganised New Year bash (of if you haven't got a ticket then they are still on sale from Margaret at the inflation proof, unbeatable bargain price of just £10 per person). It promises to be a great night …..scrumptious buffet, fabulous disco and few other surprises.

Indoor Athletics - NIA Birmingham - 19th February 2011
This is the chance to see some great live athletics action. It's a Grand Prix event so will attract top athletes from all over the world preparing for next years World Championship.
Tickets are £28 each but if enough people are interested we can get a significant discount. We will also organise a coach/minibus form Wodson.

Adventure Talks
Allenburys are organised a series of talks by “local adventurers” on their extraordinary trips, which includes some fantastic mountaineering, kayaking, mountain biking and road cycling expeditions. While the talks are not “open” to the general public Andy French has kindly offered to organise tickets for anyone who may be interested in going along.

Tuesday 1 st Feb – Mountaineering, Mount Vinson, Antarctica
Tuesday 15 th Feb – Herts Shore - Local extreme off-road biking
Tuesday 1 st March – Kayaking – Colorado Rive, West Water Canyon
Tuesday 15 th March – Mountaineering, Carstenz Pyramid, West Papua
Tuesday 22 nd March – Road Cycling in Cuba

All the talks take place at Allenburys Sports and Social Club and start at 8pm. Tickets are just £2 each or £10 for the whole series of 6 talks. If you are interested in attending any of the talks please speak to Andy French
