"There will always be someone to help you find the right session and buddy you up with another runner."
Club Sessions
Tuesday & Thursday Evenings
We meet from 7.00pm to run around 7.30pm at Wodson Park. There are normally three options to choose from:
- General Run — usually around 10K with runners of varied paces. Available on both Tuesday and Thursday nights.
- Muster Run — around 5–6 miles at a steady pace.
- Coached Training Session — a structured session designed to work on your endurance, speed and all-round fitness. Check our diary for the next coached session.
All options are designed for all levels of running ability. There will always be the option of running a shorter distance or doing a little less in the coached sessions.
Sunday Morning
Sunday runs are by arrangement only. Members are welcome to park and meet at Wodson from 9am — please check Facebook for any pre-arranged Sunday runs.
Other Sessions
We also offer ad hoc sessions and workshops on fitness, strength and posture. Keep an eye out for club announcements on our Whatsapp channel and via our Facebook page.
parkrun
Many of our club members take part in, organise and volunteer at local parkruns. These are free 5K runs every Saturday morning at 9am.
Our most local parkruns are at:
Visit www.parkrun.org.uk for more information. If any of your children want to get into running, there are also junior parkruns — see parkrun.org.uk/events/juniorevents.

You are welcome to try out Ware Joggers free of charge for your first three visits, but we ask that you join as a full member after that.

- New members joining after 30 September — £15 for the remainder of the year
Please see our Membership page for full details of all membership options.
Club Kit
Club kit is available through our Kit Manager, who can be contacted by email. You'll need a club vest or T-shirt to participate in any club races. The club also stocks hi-viz vests for night running.
Although we can’t officially recommend a shop for you to buy your running shoes, it is a good idea to get a gait analysis when trying new trainers. Ask your fellow joggers where they’ve been and they will have some practical suggestions!
Racing
Ware Joggers runs a Club Championship in which members compete in local races of varying distances. The race schedule is set by our Race Secretary each year, with distances that reflect the abilities of all runners.
You can view the current schedule on the Championship Fixtures page or via regular Facebook updates.
There are of course plenty of other races all around the country — you can wear club colours (the club vest or t-shirt) in any race, not just championship ones. Awards are given at the end of the season for significant achievements.
"Full training tips are available from our coaches — in our experience there's not much out of anyone's reach if you train sensibly and build up gradually."
